Lansdowne, PA is a thriving small community located in Delaware County. We offer the best of the old and new in an honest-to-goodness small-town setting with a big sense of community. At just over one square mile, Lansdowne is small in stature and big in what it has to offer. Its people, services, charm, architecture, culture and history of civic dedication combine to provide the true warmth that can only be found in a small town such as ours.
Residents can stroll along wide tree-lined streets admiring large Victorian homes from another era, as they make their way to the center of town. Lansdowne Avenue hosts many shops, restaurants and businesses that serve local residents and visitors. Baltimore Avenue, a major east/west artery connecting the city and Delaware County suburbs, is a major shopping and services network that runs through the center of the borough.
Lansdowne is strategically located less than 20 minutes to Philadelphia by train. SEPTA’s Media-Elwyn commuter rail stops in Lansdowne. The borough is also less than 20 minutes from the Philadelphia airport and the Main Line.
Whether you are a resident, a visitor, or a business owner, Lansdowne has something for you – from affordable homes to a weekly farmers market to holiday parades and other events. Here at the LEDC, we do our best to provide the services necessary to bring more folks to our town, to live, play and work.
I hope you enjoy your time in Lansdowne and if I can be of any assistance to you, please do not hesitate to contact me.
